Who We Are

The Thomas More Society is a not-for-profit, national public interest law firm dedicated to restoring respect in law for life, family, and religious liberty. Our mission is to save lives and protect traditional family values and religious freedom. Based in Chicago, with offices in Omaha and New York, the Thomas More Society defends and fosters support for these causes by providing high quality free legal services from local trial courts all the way to the United States Supreme Court. We do all our work through the generous support of private donations from people all across the country and in various parts of the world. The number of cases we take, and the legal work we do depends solely on the generosity of our donors.

In Focus

The Thomas More Society is a national law firm dedicated to fighting courageous courtroom battles across this country in defense of clients who otherwise could not afford legal counsel. Our clients, such as the Children of the Immaculate Heart, have the courage to fight back against a secular culture of death which is increasingly anti-religious and hostile toward people of faith.

Courage is the bedrock of life. We have to stand up against a secular society that seeks to silence our message, our participation in civic society, and our ability to worship. We are the Thomas More Society, and your support gives us courage.

In June we filed two big lawsuits in New York and Illinois. We also filed a brief defending Catholic Charities against discriminatory foster care policies in Philadelphia. We are working tirelessly to defend your faith and protect your 1st Amendment rights. Scroll down to read more details about our latest legal battles across the nation. We are here for you. We will not stop fighting to turn the tide.

How to Donate

Your generous support allows the Thomas More Society to fight for a culture of life, faith and family in the courtroom, going head-to-head with the abortion industry and the secular Left.
